I've been meaning to post on this group for a bit — Cut Copy's second record, In Ghost Colours, is a surprisingly enjoyable collection of throwback, pseudo new-wave 80s house music. As there have been many folks down this road of late, it took me a second to realize why I liked these songs — they seem unpretentious, as if the players are playing for the love of the tune rather than trying to emulate an image or sound of a certain era. This morning pitchfork slapped them with a best new music title, something I was surprised, but certainly not disappointed to see. Here's a video for your Monday morning.Monday, April 14, 2008
