MØ – “Don’t Wanna Dance” Video

Today our favorite Danish singer debuted a glossy new video for single "Don't Wanna Dance" complete with her signature dance moves, unique hair, and pink furry MSMR-esqe coat.

SOHN: "Lessons"

Music Go Music Return with "Love is All I Can Hear"

Enigmatic Los Angles dream-disco collective Music Go Music seemed to have faded into the ether after their remarkably polished and hooky 2009 album Expressions. Yet, earlier this week a new track surfaced - the less-disco, but equally melodic new track "Love is All I Hear." With some increased Facebook activity and a new Twitter acct, it looks like Music Go Music are starting to get the wheels turning for another run, but for now enjoy the vid and new song.

"I'm No Doctor, But That Monkey Might Be Right"

Austra: "Painful Like"

Austra’s new album Olympia is out now on Domino.

Gesaffelstein: "Pursuit"

Back at it after a week of Nashville/Lakes/UK/July 4th festivities - with something a little out of left field for us - a massive new club track from French DJ Gesaffelstein. Don't know much about him, other than the fact that this track is so energy-packed that it may be too intense for your next apartment party, but give it a shot and get weird. He has a series of EPs out, and a full length due in the fall. Awesome video from Fleur & Manu below.

M.I.A "Bring the Noize"

Matangi comes out this fall.

New Gauntlet Hair Video: "Human Nature"

Gauntlet Hair: "Human Nature"

Director Ryan Ohm captures the dark corners of Chicago where it seems this track was born. Channeling the sulking pop of Jesus and Mary Chain, melody and rhythm bubble along under the surface - muted and metallic complementing the visuals described as: "atmospheric... and eerie leaving the viewer with a strange sense of uncertainty, not sure how to feel."

Young Galaxy: "Fall For You" Video

Young Galaxy's Ultramarine is out now, and one of our favorite records of 2013 so far!

Catching Up: New Videos

Young Galaxy's excellent Ultramarine is out now.

The inimitable Jonny Fritz (formally Corndawg) is back w/ his new album Dad Country (out now on ATO) - enjoy the dust up above.

Autre Ne Veut - "Play By Play" Video

New video from Autre Ne Veut, whose fantastic new record Anxiety is out now.

California X: "Spider X"

Tired of bleepy bloops? Here's some visceral 90s sludge guitar rock for you from California X. Their self titled album is out now. Another track, "Mummy" is below.

Autre Ne Veut - Counting - feat. Mykki Blanco

Autre Ne Veut: "Counting"

While sources close to the writer can confirm that I do not, in fact, really enjoy hospital videos or sick old people - Autre Ne Veut have a solid upward trajectory at the moment and "Counting" is a great slice of the indie-R&B pie that is so en vogue these days, and for (mostly) good reason. Arthur Ashin is the first of two children and the only son of American ex-patriots living in rural Kenya. Anxiety comes out Feb 26. Autre Ne Veut Plays 285 Kent in Brooklyn Tomorrow, December 7(also appearing are Mykki Blanco and Oneohtrix Point Never).

Happy Thanksgiving

We're off for the week folks. Vince posted an artist to watch piece on standout rising star Laura Mvula in September, and yesterday we caught the gorgeous video for "She." A true talent and artist to watch for 2013. Her debut EP is available now in the UK. Beautiful.

Beach House: "Wild"

Beach House's Bloom is out now on Sub Pop.

A*M*E - Play The Game Boy

I like this. Sometimes we break from our solid Stark-core material. Caught this in our Fader newsletter. While not as immediate as an Azealia Banks or Nicki Minaj - I think there's something here. Amy Kabba (A*M*E) is 17, from South London via Sierra Leone, signed to Universal, and seemingly poised for the big time.

UPDATE: I really like this.

Tame Impala: "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards"

Tame Impala: "Endors Toi"

Trippy vid for the equally trippy, and best song on Tame Impala's fantastic new record Lonerism, out now on Modular.

Dum Dum Girls: "Lord Knows" Video

[mp3] Dum Dum Girls: "Lord Knows"

We have a massive amount of respect for Dum Dum Girls. Starting as a dime-a-dozen lo-fi girl group, Dum Dum Girls have honed their songwriting, image and sound to remain cutting edge, and downright excellent - while their lesser peers (see Vivian Girls) have disappeared. Dum Dum Girls began as a band we were not destined to like, and have matured into a band we might end up loving. Their new EP End of Daze comes out today on Sub Pop.

MSMR Share "Bones"

This morning, MSMR dropped their new single "Bones" which is a great way to start a thankfully short week. Dig the video below...

Kisses "Johnny & Mary" Video

Kisses: "Funny Heartbeat"

After recently offering an exclusive view of this video as an incentive to sign up for the Kisses mailing list (nice digital marketing idea guys), this excellent Robert Palmer cover is now viewable for all. You know we love this band - check out their new single "Funny Heartbeat" above.
