MSMR Remixes MØ "Pilgrim"

Lots of stuff coming from the MØ world recently. Today we get the MSMR remix of her excellent "Pilgrim." Look for more from MØ as she heads stateside in March for SX. Original vid below.

Halona King

We don't know much about Halona King outside of her rich voice, lush grand piano chords, and big-sounding production from MSMR's Max Hershenow. Echoing MSMR in instrumentation, King sets herself apart with a more organic and soulful approach - a little less polished with a little more dirt under her fingernails. Her 4 track debut is available for free at bandcamp.

Savages Tonight

London's all female Savages are quickly building heat this week during CMJ along with others such as: Icona Pop, You Won't, Deap Vally, MSMR, MØ, Guards, and Kate Earl. With a definitive post-punk edge, solid mgmt team, and a reportedly piercing live show, these women seemed poised for US success - yet, we've all seen how that story can go. We'll be checking them out for the first time tonight at Glasslands w/ Dum Dum Girls.

Moving from the dark and earthy to the moody and synthy - here's your weekend jam from duo MSMR. This new track "Hurricane" posted yesterday to our new favorites Disco Naivete, and is certainly our favorite track from MSMR to date. They tour w/ Marina and the Diamonds this summer.
