More New Music Tuesday: Faunts

Sleepy-time in the western world

Faunts - "It Hurts Me All the Time"

Started in 2000 as a two-brother foray into dreamy, indie ambience, and now a 5-man ensemble, Faunts are some sort of classy/hipster hybrid from Canada-land. “It Hurts Me All The Time”, off of their upcoming February 17th release Feel.Love.Thinking.Of (Friendly Fire), provides a combination of synths and guitars that conjures Smiths comparisons, and that’s a good thing. The new album is said to be the product of songwriting done over the course of Faunts’ American tour. Here's a song. Thanks to our friends at Terrorbird(!). Although tagged with a Feb 17 release, this record is available on iTunes now.
