Saw this interesting nugget from the Boston Phoenix via the Very Short List newsletter - which highlights some pretty great stuff (music, books, film, photography, culture etc.) Here the Boston Phoenix picks the best band, solo artist and current artist from each state. It also sets you up with an mp3 and a video from the artists. At the very least, it's a great time waster. Check it out HERE. From my home state of PA - The Roots are the best band, Trent Reznor (who knew??) for best solo artist and Santogold for best new artist. Not bad.
