We're hooked on the band's hyperactive sound and debonair attitude, and can't wait for this thing to finally get released, after being teased by EP after video after single in anticipation of the debut. We're not really helping the cause by offering yet another new mp3 from the album, the frenzied "Turn Cold", which we've had on repeat since this morning. Grab away.

Fresh on the heels of an announcement from Bruce, a preview from Animal Collective, and an exclusive taste of Dent May, 2009 is already shaping up to be a banner year for music judging by January's schedule alone. And now we've got another release from a great bunch of Kiwis that should certainly get you jazzed. Keep your eyes peeled for a fantastic new band out of New Zealand called Cut Off Your Hands. They're releasing their debut LP You And I on January 20th via Frenchkiss, and judging by the single "Happy As Can Be" (which you can grab above), they could very well be a household name in the future. SPIN does a pretty good job at describing the album's sound: "Power-pop ooh-lahs, hip-rocking post-punk backbeats, and sleak guitar fingerings." Holy adjectives and hyphens, Batman! Anyway, get stoked.
