This is one of our favorite new artists for 2012. The two songs we have "Nuclear Seasons" and "Stay Away" are EXCELLENT. Right now, Grimes still holds the #1 new artist in 2012 spot for us, but depending on what Charli XCX comes up with in the next few weeks, she could present a big challenge.

We were admittedly in the dark about this UK teen until this recent single made the rounds last week. Since we're the savvy bloggers that we are, we vetted these tracks over the past few days, and shit if they aren't good. While they're not breaking the synth-pop / goth modus operandi prevalent these days - these are heavy hitting tracks, well produced, executed and written. Something big is brewing - let's see if she can follow through. Her 12" "Stay Away" single is out now.
