New Chris Denny; Best New Tracks

So much going on the past few days with artists we love. First and foremost - after a long absence rife with substance abuse and health issues - Chris Denny has cleaned up and returns with the follow up to the stunning debut Age Old Hunger. If the Roses Don't Kill Us comes out August 5th on Partisan Records. The title track is below, and you can hear a previously released track ft Erika Wennerstrom (Heartless Bastards) HERE.

Zola Jesus "Seekir"

We love / are secretly terrified of Zola Jesus. Her dark highly melodic tunes are deep and cutting, yet are accessible enough for everyday listens. Zola Jesus revealed a new track “Seekir” off the forthcoming album Conatus out October 4 on Sacred Bones Records. Zola Jesus will also tour North America this Fall with Xanopticon as support.

Zola Jesus is definitely not the type of artist we would be immediately attracted to. She get's slapped with this awful "goth" label frequently, and well we just don't get that. She has compelling melodies, unique and interesting production, and yes - what can be considered dark and otherworldly vocals. Labels don't matter - Zola Jesus makes great music. We can't stop listening. Her video for "Sea Talk" permiered on NME.
