We intially came across alt-J via the below Dave Sitek remix. Something about his unique voice and intricate rhythums captivated us. After doing some more digging via his Soundcloud page we found tracks such as "Something Good," "Breezeblocks," "Fitzpleasure" and "Tessellate" (video above.) Taking equal parts Radiohead, TV on the Radio, J.Viewz and more, alt-J quickly became a mainstay in our rotation. alt-J's debut album, An Awesome Wave, will be released September 18th via Canvasback. Can't wait to hear the record and see him live at the Mercury Lounge on 8/6 and or Glasslands on 8/7.

(Also) Tonight: Summer Camp in Brooklyn
It's been a quick moment since we checked in on our friends from the UK Summer Camp. Last year saw the release of their highly lauded debut album 'Welcome to Condale.' It's always an event when they make it to the states - so if you missed them last night at Mercury Lounge, you can catch them tonight at Glasslands. See you there. Just listening to the song above should be enough to convince you it's worth it.
