Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters. We honestly didn't know we were such big fans until we revisited the album again this year. While not a perfect record, the high points of
Fourteen Autumns reminded us why we got into the band in the first place. The epic wall of guitar noise that fades in-and-out, coupled with singer James Graham's unapologetic Scottish accent and heartbreaking melodies, make for some of the most moving guitar rock/shoegaze music heard in a long time. Interviews for
Forget the Night Ahead promise a darker, more developed approach, both lyrically and musically -- yet, in terms of production, the album will be more raw and rough around the edges. If the first single "Reflection Of The Television" is any indication, this could be a dark horse pick for many year end lists.
