No to be confused with the excellent The DØ, MØ, capitalizes on the pseudo R&B electro-pop sound so en vogue these days. A friend described the 23 year old's new track "Pilgrim" simply: "catchy tune, not as annoying as Grimes." MØ distills abstract melodic sensibilities into easily digestible nuggets, without losing any indie-swagger in the process. While seemingly possessing a better voice than both Grimes and Purity Ring (her closest peers), the true test will be the live show, which she will debut in New York on 10/19 at Yours Truly's Glasslands showcase. She's recording her debut album now.
