Another "chill" artist that has struck our fancy these past few months are the excellent Canadian duo Memoryhouse. Not to use this quickly rising group as a platform for pontification, but they are a clear example of the rule that if you write focused and lasting compositions, people will pay attention regardless of genre. Aka, don't be lo-fi for lo fidelity's sake - WRITE GOOD SONGS. Memoryhouse have a free ep, and a huge tour coming up with some big names including fellow "buzz" band, the ace outfit Twin Sister.
