Active Child

L.A's Active Child is the product of Pat Grossi, a renowned bedroom recording artist who has recently produced a collection of songs that successfully navigates the orchestral, folk, and electronic worlds; garnering Grossi comparisons to artists such as Bon Iver, Burial, Bear in Heaven and Fleet Foxes. Disparate, but excellent company to be sure. His falsetto creates a wistful high-end melancholy, while the low pulsing synths and drum rhythms give each track a jarring edge and dark undercurrent. Grossi released Sun Rooms earlier this year (cassette only) and will be releasing a new EP Curtis Lane this May. Certainly a talented artist making intriguing music filled with contrast and nuance.
