[mp3] Parenthetical Girls: "Evelyn McHale"
after the jump
Local Natives: "Airplane"
Broken Bells: "The High Road"

"Evelyn McHale," is the first single from the Parenthetical Girls' ambitious new album Privilege which will be released as five limited-edition 12" EPs over the course of the next several months. The song is named after the tragic 23 year old woman who threw herself from the Empire State Building in 1947. When they debuted the track, Stereogum linked to the enthralling photo of her just moments after death, taken by Robert Wiles, which later appeared in LIFE Magazine, a Warhol print, and even in the bottom right corner of the new Pearl Jam album Backspacer.
