To begin, congratulations to Here We Go Magic as they sign to a fantastic label, Secretly Canadian, who have truly asserted themselves as indie-giants of 2009.

Here We Go Magic's self-titled debut came full equipped with electro-tribal drum beats and beautiful harmonies -- so much so, that when we first heard "Only Pieces" we swore it was a new Paul Simon track. Their first LP, not only caught the attention of the blogosphere, but also of 'Best of 2009' candidates, Grizzly Bear, who asked Luke Temple & Co. to join them on tour. We caught that Town Hall show awhile back and...well you can read for yourself.

The band is currently recording their sophomore record, which they are self-producing. Yeah, we'll see!
