Calexico - "Two Silver Trees" - mp3Via Stereogum this morning, a sparse low key affair from this stalwart Southwestern duo. While being a band for hire on numerous (and fantastic) projects such as the I'm Not There soundtrack, multiple collaborations with Sam Beam of Iron and Wine and occasionally Neko Case, Calexico is preparing to release their newest offering Carried to Dust Sept. 9. This is definitely a record I am looking forward to this fall —an album probably best served with a generous helping of Cormac McCarthy novels.
