On the back of his Grammy winning record Black Radio, the inimitable Robert Glasper has announced the October 29 (Blue Note) release of Black Radio 2 featuring a stacked slate of guest vocalists including: Common, Patrick Stump, Brandy, Jill Scott, Dwele, Marsha Ambrosius, Anthony Hamilton, Faith Evans, Norah Jones, Snoop Dogg, Lupe Fiasco, Emeli Sandé, Lalah Hathaway, and Malcolm-Jamal Warner. After several excellent traditional-leaning jazz trio records, Glasper has spent the past several years focusing on his Experiment project - expanding his sound in new hip hop and R&B directions, thereby garnering a once jazz focused musician the nomination and win for best R&B Grammy last year.
